We were all very fortunate to have Mark be part of our lives. Each one of us had a very strong unique bond with him that we will cherish for
the rest of our lives. The following are letters from the people who were closest to Mark.
A letter from Ali:
I really don't know what I can say as an intro. Basically I've been holding a few things inside for a while now and I'm hoping that by posting my letter here will help me get some of my strong feelings out. Losing Mark the way it happened has been a hard thing to deal with. It's difficult to explain the feeling of seeing someone one moment alive and the next lying in a hospital bed and not being dead from the same accident yourself. I've lost a brother and I've lost one of my best friends. Very few people in life will ever experience the friendship that Mark, Shervin, and I have. Seems unfair to have something so rare be taken away for no good reason. Anyways, below you will see a link to my letter. I didn't really bother to check my gramatical structure because I wanted all those held up feelings to come out without editing it.

Dear reader,
Below is a collection of thoughts and stories inspired by the death of my brother, Mark Modaressi. Please do not re-post or reproduce this work in any way. I did translate the songs where necessary, but they are rough and unauthorized translations and don’t do the originals justice.

A letter from Haley:
To the EvolutionM family,
I am Mark's fiance, Haley, and I just wanted to take a moment to say a few
words. First, I would like to thank all of you for your thoughts, prayers,
and condolences. It has touched Mark's family and my heart to know that
Mark impacted so many lives, simply by doing what he loves.
I had the greatest honor of being loved by Mark for seven years. He is
the love of my life. Nothing made me happier or prouder than to see Mark
fulfill his dreams. Creating EvolutionM was exactly that, and I thank you
all from the bottom of my heart, for being part of that dream.
As so many of you have expressed, what you see is what you get with Mark.
Mark's passions and character defined his life, not the unfortunate way he
was taken from us. His enthusiasm, genuineness, honesty, and patience is
what should be remembered.
It means so much to me that you are honoring Mark's life by maintaining
the high standard of excellence he established for the site.
Lastly, I want to say that I have all the confidence in the world that Ali will fulfill the vision that Mark had for EvolutionM. Mark and Ali
were more than just business partners. Their bond is one of friendship
and brotherhood. I speak not only for myself, but for Mark, when I say
that we greatly appreciate your support for Ali and the EvolutionM
